Securities and Exchange Commission

To the and Exchange Commission,

I'm hoping that you will do the right thing and close the loophole to
protect America's citizens from unscrupulous financial advisors and their
greedy employers.
I, personally, was taken advantage of by my financial advisor after my
husband passed away. He and his corporate employers worked hard to fleece me
of many thousands of dollars that I needed to support myself and my son.
They cost me money that I lost by having to hire an attorney (who also took
a large chunk of the money that I eventually won from the company) leaving me
with some money but certainly not the entire amount that I deserved. One lie
after another to cover up their own greed! It was deemed more important to
make a commission rather than to protect a family who just lost their
husband/father.
What's more, I read in our local newspaper, that my financial
"advisor" was continuing his same behaviors by taking advantage of people I knew as
well as others who publicized their lawsuits in the newspaper. These people
never have a conscience and don't care about their clients at all.

I'm counting on you to make a stronger rule that closes the loophole.
Americans who've worked hard to save for retirement deserve peace of
mind about their financial security.

Sincerely,

Ms. Carla Axelrod
