The SEC staff encourages all filers to participate in the EDGAR Filing Fee Beta that staff will open on October 2, 2023, to allow testing of the technical and structured data aspects of the Filing Fee Disclosure and Payment Methods Modernization rule. To ensure that all filers have an opportunity to participate, SEC staff has extended the period during which filers may express interest and participate in the Filing Fee Beta to December 8, 2023.

This is the only Filing Fee Beta that SEC staff will make available to filers. All filers, including Accelerated filers, are therefore encouraged to participate before the Filing Fee Beta closes on December 22, 2023.  

To participate, filers should send an email to FilingFeeBetaFeedback@sec.gov, that:

• Includes the filer’s name and CIK
• Is sent from the email address that corresponds to their Contact for EDGAR Information, Inquiries and Access Code (EDGAR Contact) listed in EDGAR.

Filers should expect to receive an automated confirmation email within 24 hours upon SEC staff’s receipt of their email indicating interest.

The Filing Fee Beta will provide filers with the opportunity to construct structured filing fee-related information, using the new Fee Exhibit Preparation Tool that includes features such as prompts, explanations, and automated calculations to produce a filing fee exhibit (EX-Filing Fees) in submission-ready format. The Filing Fee Beta will be solely for testing; during the Filing Fee Beta period, filers should make fee-related submissions through the current EDGAR filing fee process.
