The Securities and Exchange Commission will offer an EDGAR Filing Fee Beta for filers to test the technical and structured data aspects of the Filing Fee Disclosure and Payment Methods Modernization rule adopted October 13, 2021 (Release No. 33-10997).

The EDGAR Filing Fee Beta will open October 2, 2023, and close December 22, 2023. To participate, filers should send an email to FilingFeeBetaFeedback@sec.gov no later than August 31, 2023, that:

• Includes the filer’s name and CIK
• Is sent from the email address that corresponds to their Contact for EDGAR Information, Inquiries and Access Code (EDGAR Contact) listed in EDGAR.

Filers should expect to receive an automated confirmation email within 24 hours upon SEC staff’s receipt of their email indicating interest.  The SEC encourages all filers and filing agents to participate in testing.

The EDGAR Filing Fee Beta will provide filers with the opportunity to construct structured filing fee-related information, using the new Fee Exhibit Preparation Tool that includes features such as prompts, explanations, and automated calculations to produce a filing fee exhibit (EX-Filing Fees) in submission-ready format. The Beta environment will be solely for testing; during the Beta period, filers should make fee-related submissions through the current EDGAR filing fee process.

Filers are reminded of the following important dates regarding the Filing Fee Disclosure and Payment Methods Modernization rule:

• January 31, 2024—Voluntary compliance period for submission of structured fee exhibits starts
• July 31, 2024—Mandatory compliance for large accelerated filers begins
• July 31, 2025—Compliance by all filers required
