An order has been issued granting the application of AvalonBay Communities, Inc. to withdraw its common stock, $.01 par value, and 8.70% series H cumulative redeemable preferred stock, $.01 par value, from listing and registration on the Pacific Exchange, Inc. (now known as NYSE Arca, Inc.), effective at the opening of business on April 14, 2006.
