An order has been issued granting the application of the New York Stock Exchange LLC to strike from listing and registration the class A American Depositary Shares (each representing one class A ordinary Share) and class B American Depositary Shares (each representing one class B ordinary share) of Smedvig ASA, effective at the opening of business on April 21, 2006.
